Creativity

Creativity is a vibrant lifeline for me. I enjoy grappling with the creative unknown––like the lotus flower used for it’s symbolism through many stories from diverse world cultures. The lotus flower actually requires the struggle of growing through the undefined sludge in order to realize it’s full bloom.

I love time spent in developing personal creative expression through my fine art work, as well as the professional satisfaction I get from solving challenging creative services problems and achieving business goals for others.

Time

From the time I was a child I was known as an artist and a visionary. I was the kid in school who was always drawing, creating posters and theme graphics, and doodling on everything. Gratefully that is a wellspring for me. I see things from a creative point of view and enjoy putting disparate things together in new ways or harmonizing and integrating existing materials or messages to elicit response and inspire meaning. In depth, I have studied studio art, art history, symbology, communication design, social media, packaging, and marketing/advertising/public relations, and have been involved in many research projects to better understand how people perceive and respond to communication design.

I am particularly interested in creating engaging, motivating storytelling communications projects that relate to healthcare, aging, illness, dying, spirituality, environment, justice, and creativity.
